The rundown-- **The last bastion of old Hollywood passed this week with the death of Elizabeth Taylor. Hasn't she been dying for like 35 years? How does a person die for 35 years? For what feels like my entire life I have seen tabloid headlines reporting Liz Taylor's final days, yet she lingered and slowly withered away until she looked like the Crypt Keeper's stunt double after a pyrotechnics gag went horribly awry. It's like death came for her sometime in the early 80's but when they got to their destination in the hoary underworld, the club was full so they made Liz wait outside and then forgot about her till yesterday. Yep. Exactly like that. **Michael Pare makes his triumphant return to the big screen in The Lincoln Lawyer. It's good to see him in something other than an Ewe Boll movie. In the final scene of Eddie and the Cruisers 2: Eddie Lives! Pare announces from the stage to a packed arena after winning the giant battle of the bands with his new group Rock Solid, that he is in fact Eddie Wilson-- a rock legend supposedly dead for 20 years-- and without missing a beat the entire crowd erupts into a rousing chant of "Eddie! Eddie!" Such is the charisma of Michael Pare that he can make people believe in the walking dead with just a smile. Conversely, I go to the store for a gallon of ice cream and my wife wants three witnesses, a sworn affidavit, and my junk under a black light to prove I wasn't with another woman. **Nothing seems to bring The Brad joy like the first Ninja Turtles movie. I wonder if there will be any subconscious tributes to that film in Brad's own independent feature, The Wolfman's Hammer.
